This was Vince and my first time trying the “Green Monster” spinach smoothie after our morning workout. Someone on facebook suggested this drink and I thought I’d give it a try since I need more protein. It wasn’t too bad actually! We ended up adding some fruit in addition to the banana. Total protein is 21g.

Ginger is a great addition to juices, as is carrot and apples. I actually have a juicer though, not just blender. I have one called “mean green” it’s pretty good with lemons, ginger, apple, celery, kale, cucumber: http://myjuicecleanse.com/juicer-recipes/mean-green-juice-recipes/ . Frozen fruit is great to add to them to make them more smoothies than anything.
